Arequipa,
located in the south of Peru, with an altitude of 2,330
meters above the sea level. Mild climate, the city is
called “The White City” because its constructions,
much of it is build of ashlar, the white building stone
carved from volcanic lava quarries.
Founded in 1540, Arequipa is
one of the most stunning cities in Peru, because of
its historical legacy as well as its gorgeous architecture
and landscape.
Three volcanoes dominate the
panorama, the Misti, the Chachani and the Pichu Pichu,
the countryside, the Andean valleys and the Colca
Canyon (the deepest canyon in the world) are part
of its unique attractiveness. In Arequipa you will
find a diversity of the kingdom of the flora and fauna
(home of the exotic condor).
