We will first arrive at Puerto Maldonado - the biodiversity
capital of Peru. Next, we will travel by boat from Puerto
Maldonado along the Madre de Dios River. During the trip we
will be able to see caymans, turtles, herons and other
animal species. We will settle into our bungalows, have
lunch, and then visit Monkey Island. During our trek to
Monkey Island, we will observe extraordinary landscapes with
exuberant jungle flora and fauna. Lodging.

02:
LOST COCHA B/L/D
We will begin our adventure hiking through the virgin
rainforest to the wonderful refuge of Lost Cocha, home to a
great variety Qf animals. From there, we will hike on to the
well-known Amazonian Viewpoint an outlook constructed at the
top of the "Shihuahuaco" tree, from where the full wonder
and magic of the rainforest can be truly appreciated. We
will hike back to our bungalows and have lunch. In the
evening, we will take a peaceful canoe trip across the river
to visit with a local family. Lodging.
DAY
03: PORT MALDONADO B/-/-
We
will take the boat back along the Madre de Dios River to Puerto
Maldonado and transfer to the airport.
