Peru has three different climatic zones: the coast, mountains and
the rainforest. All three are affected by different seasons. The
weather patterns are not always predictable.
The Coast: has 2
seasons; winter from April until December, and Summer from January
until March. The summers are hot and dry, the winters can be cloudy,
rainy, and cool.
Lima has its own climate; the humidity sometimes is over 100%, hot
during the summer and grey during the winter when the fog comes in.
It chills during these months.
The Mountains: Andes
highlands has 2 seasons, dry from May until October, and rainy from
November until April. For the dry season the climate is sunny during
the day and cold at night, sometimes bellow freezing. In the rainy
season it generally rains each afternoon, the mornings can be even
sunny. The temperature is mild, but chilly at night.
The Rainforest: the
jungle has 2 seasons, dry from May until October, and rainy from
November until April. In the dry season the weather is high and
nights are warm, except in June when the temperature can fall at
night. The rainy season brings heavy rainfalls and there is
